does anyone know where i can get a front hood for a 1957, 58, 59 chrysler 300. i need one for a resto i am doing on my 300c. Any one out there know any one wrecking these vehicles. i am also chasing other items.

As i live in australia it has been hard to make contact with Gary Grossich. i looked him up on the web and got alot of results for were to eat and a restaurant review. nothing on 57 chrysler's. wildcats couldnt help me either,,...........so i am still looking for a hood any other options or suggestions

I'm sorry I don't have anything positive to contribute to this thread. The hood you seek is the same for all '57-59 Chrysler 300 Letter Cars. Only difference was that 59 added chrome "300" lettering on the left side. Because of the value and desirability of the cars and the rarity and so many of them having been restored that still exist, finding a hood is very difficult. Expect to pay in excess of $1000 for a decent hood if you find one. What happened to your original hood? Missing completely? If you have anything to work with at all, restore what you have.

my hood is there but very rusty. i bought a two door 57 windsor to wreck the rear of the hood is the same just the nose is different. i have got hold of a hood in the US but the owner is waiting for the weather to clear up to send me some pictures. i have restored a few vehicles now but i have just bought an english wheel and have started to roll my own panels. so far i have gone through two full sheets of steel but i am improving and have made my first patch panels on a 79 ford LTD, worked out fine. I plan on rolling my own floor pans and attempting to restor to 300c hood. At the moment i have too many projects on the go. i am half way though a body off resto on my 62 chrysler imperial lebaron and on the tail end of a resto on my 68 t-bird.
