I think this guy must have seen a covertible sold at on of the telivised auctions. Now he thinks if it says "Hudson" on it is enough to retire on,

I think it is more likely that he has no idea what it is worth, is too inept or lazy to do any research and is just using the market to get a value. Might not even want to sell it.

A few years ago an HET Club Member sold an early '50s GM concept car (Buick, I think) at Barrett-Jackson for around $3.2 million...about 4 times what they thought it would sell for. The joke at the time was as follows:

    Q. How many Hudsons can you buy for $3.2 million?

    A. All of them.

    Not true, but funny...

There seems to be a lot of reruns on Ebay lately. My favorite is the Biddle and Smart 29. Nice car....

Anyway, I sent a note to the guy with the $125,000 car and gave him a rough estimate of what I think his car is worth. My main suggestion was that he should drive and enjoy this car as a way to honor the memory of his dad..... Never heard back---I guess if I sent him a $400.00 stamp he might write back?

At least he kept going down. Some guys post the same car at the same price over and over again. I think they are hoping that one guy who likes to buy overpriced cars is finally looking at ebay ads.
