Saga of a Free Hudson
-
 A few weeks ago, a freind called me and told me of a free Hudson in Reno, I contacted the owner and he told me it was a '49 with two doors. He did not know the difference between a coupe and tudor sedan. I made arangemnts to pick the car up, then the weather changed from bad to worse. He had to get the car out of the storage lot before the end of November or the car would go to the crusher. That was not going to happen if I could help it. Weather cleared, again made time to pick it up, the owners card would not open the gate. Had to waite untill Monday, ready again, owner calls me, says a truck is blocking the Hudson and they have to get it moved. A few more days go by, and I am worried about the weather changing again. He calls me and so Saturday my wife, oldest son and Myself go to rescue the Hudson. Had to change all four tires, It did roll easily and got on the trailer and brought it home, No problems. It is a '49 tudor sedan, no engine, transmission, missing trim and lights, but overall the body is good, the floors look okay. some cracked glass. No tittle. I do not need any more projects even though I like the tudor body style better than the coupe. Any way it is safe and and would make an interesting project for someone. I can take pictures and mail them as I have a very difficult time posting them. Arnie in Nevada.

Good for you! Another one saved (at least for the time being).
I assume you are going to advertise this in the WTN as well...not just on the Forum? Of course, many more people will see it in the WTN than here!
Good luck in finding it a home. -

I'm very interested if you would like to sell it. My email is Cody@lbproductioncenter.com if you can send pictures. Thanks

Arnie,
That was nice of you to take the time and effort to rescue that Hudson from the Crusher especially after the obstacles you encountered....
Sounds like it may be a Brougham Model that (I think) Hudson built only for a couple of years and scarce these days.
