Richmond, ME - 3298 people (2000 census), 4 churches, 2 gas stations, a whole bunch of dogs and cats - typical small town bedroom community.

Before I moved to Memphis in 2007 I lived in Kennebunk, Maine - about 65 miles south of Richmond.

Every year, right about this time, I get the urge to move back down south. By January it has become a certainty that I need to relocate to warmer climes. Then Spring comes along and I suddenly feel a sense of pride for having survived yet another winter and stick around for the summers which are beautiful. And the autumns, when it's storybook gorgeous. And then the cycle starts itself all over again when the last leaf falls.
