Car ID
-
Can someone please ID the year, make and model of this car? I cannot seem to locate a picture online that looks like this. It's been driving me nuts all morning! Thanks in advance.

Dave -
It is a 1960 Edsel Ranger. You can go to google.com, search images for 1960 Edsel and see this same picture.

Thanks.
Apparently, the one in the picture has been customized. It did not originally have fender skirts or that antenna on the trunk.

Dave -
I doubt the car was "customized". Back in the good old days, the late '50s through the early to mid '60s, things like fender skirts and extra antennas were popular options that showed up on more than a few new cars. They were either specifically ordered as options or maybe dealer installed after arrival. Regardless, I think this car is probably original as delivered to it's first owner.

You are correct, the 1960 Edsel came from the factory as shown. They only made 2,846 of the 1960 model and pretty much sealed the faith of this line.Ted J. Welch
