I have a few questions about my Catalina that I brought home yesterday. I am new to a lot of this so please bear with me...

As it stands I bought a 98% complete 1960 Pontiac Catalina 4 door. It had everything minus the 389. I have found a 389 out of a 1964 Catalina. I have been tols it is a direct bolt in from 1959-1964.. Is this true? The car is very solid all the way through except the trunk area. The body mount that mounts to the rear driver side frame ear is almost completely rotted out. My gas tank braces are also all but gone. Obviously the trunk floor is shot also... A new trunk floor isn't hard to come by. I plan on buying a couple 4x4 sheets of 18 gauge and making the replacement myself. One thing I don't think I can fab is the body brace that mounts to the frame ear. Does anybody have any suggestions or better yet have some of these braces that they would love to sell me?? I will end up fabricating everything and patching it together if I have to. I really want to get this bad boy up and running by the end of August at the absolute latest. I also want to get the suspension lowered by about 3 inches as well. I will end up bagging the car either this fall or next after I get the chassis cleaned up and coated. I would like to get her lowered before I get it on the road though. I have lowered newer cars that you can buy new springs and shocks for.. I obviously can't find anything like that for this car. Any and all help would be much appreciated!!
