1931 Essex Driveshift
-
Can someone tell me how to remove a driveshift out of a 1931 essex from the rear-end & from the tranny????
-
Just unbolt it and it will fall out! There are 6 bolts at each end holding hte flanges on.If you're stuck in a hole, stop digging.

Maybe you're having trouble like I had on my 30. The slip joint on the front yoke of the driveshaft was dry and corroded and when I removed the bolts the driveshaft flange just fell down on the nut on the transmission flange shaft. I had a time trying to pry the two apart before the driveshaft flange would clear the nut and fall away.Steve
