New here! Questions on 1955 Dodge Royal...
-
Hello all,
I hope you're doing well. Well, I don't have any knowledge when it comes to old Dodge cars... All I know is we have a 1955 4dr Dodge Royal.. it has the original motor (semi hemi?) and transmission. It runs, but needs a little brake work. The interior is in fair condition, the exterior needs a little work, no huge dings, just a few spots of surface rust... It's a pretty neat car.
We're not sure if it's worth anything to sell, we have a baby on the way and this seems to be the best option. Unless it's not worth much - we can just hold on to it...
I'd love your input... We're complete newbies when it comes to this particular car.
Thank you so much,
Teresa -
Welcome to the old addiction...

Most of the brake related parts can be found at the usual parts houses, some of the common engine parts also.
The down side to any old car is the ability to empty your wallet just buying basic stuff to make/keep them road worthy. If you dig around the www you will find many examples of similar cars for sale, and based on your description I would say your car is in the $1000-$1500 range. If running and driving, then double that. If you go another step and make it presentable at 10 feet then add another $1000.
The engines are extremely durable, the auto trans that year is less so, and expensive to repair.
How about a couple of Pics??

Try Kanter Auto for your brakes. They do have everything you'll need. Ask or Google them, they have a web site."The time has come", the Walrus said, "to speak of many things. Of shoes and ships and sealing wax, of cabbages and kings. And why the sea is boiling hot,
And whether pigs have wings..."
