Also be nice to have a Hudson with the original sales documents, nice provence. -
Nice car - 2" body drop?
I call BS!
I see no indication that the body was dropped 2" -
Talk about picking at the "fly specks," this sweet little car comes with the 8 cyl engine. That is what the discussion should be about. I call this a great car and currently at a great price. Now, where do I bid???Brownie

I'm a little surprised at the "bare steel floor pans." I was under the impression that at least the Hornets and Commodores were all undercoated at the factory. Every one I've ever seen certainly was, including the three very original '51 Commodore/Hornet cars I've had. Walt, how about this? Was undercoating really just an option?

Undercoating was part of the car. This car has been steamed clean, sure wished we could of seen it before it was steamed. Looking at the rear springs, it looks like it's lowered, notice the new U bolts. Notice the front fenders are now over the top of the tires, where normally there is one inch clearance. With a full undercoating it will make a nice ride for someone. Walt.I'm a little surprised at the "bare steel floor pans." I think youre right on the suspension changes - looks like they blocked the rear end - I wonder what they did to the springs in the front?
A body drop to me would be similar to MIKE-WA's where they "channeled" the body over the "frame" and cut 2" off the bottom of the doors, fenders and quarters.
Thats why I questioned the claim - there is no evidence of that type of drop looking at the underneath of the car. -

Well guys, the '51 Commodore Six that was my Grandpa's always hung real low in the front, so maybe they didn't have to do anything to the front - just brought the rear end down a bit to match the front end!Jerry

The seller e-mailed me back and said the buyer couldn't meet the financial obligations.... who knows what the real story is.
