58 delray steering arm help

just bought this car it has 14in. tires all the way round except for drivers side front tried another 14 in. and rim hit steering arm at ball joint thought maybe wrong backset so tried wheel off the rear of car had the same problem is it ok to bend steering arm if at all possible.any suggestions would be helpful

NEVER alter steering parts.
Have you tried taking he car to a "GOOD" front end shop? Preferably one that has someone that knows older cars.
