rear end gear thrust washer
-
I took apart the third member of the 37 rear end to clean and inspect and found I need to get 2 gear thrust washers. They look like some kind of phenolic type material. I think they are # 41225 in the parts book.
Anyone have these or know where I can get them?

Now look at the 37 vs 47-- 37 gears had one broken and one not broken, 47 gear on bottom right had no washer of any kind. What gives? Looks like the same gear to me.

ID is 1.52, OD is 2.50 and thickness is .036
These are made of phenolic material, don't see why bronze or such would work as well or better. -
Hi, How many do you want?? $2.00 ea. + postage from Michigan.
These are used in 32-38 Terraplane and 34-51 Hudson.
Diff. gears are also the same for these years:)

Thanks Ric!

Herm, Those I have seem to be all the same. Have not checked the parts books lately to see if they were available in different thickness. Will do so
later today.

I only see one number ( 41225 ) in my 37 parts book.
