Help Needed

Hudson Dave here . I have a 1939 Hudson front clip under my Hot Rod
The problem I am having is with the sway bar . according to the photos I took before dismantling everything is installed correctly  BUT, when you turn the steering wheel it starts to turn and then the sway bar slides inside the bushings about an inch in what ever direction you are turning  is this normal ? The problem is after a turn the car want to pull in the direction you last turned . If you kind a yank the wheel the sway bar center and every thing is happy again
. I have polyurethane bushings and they have a zerk fitting in them and they says to grease them . I gave them a couple of shots but I have never greased sway bar bushings before . Any help would be appreciated . Thanks Hudson Dave -
Dave, I have installed this setup on my 38 and my dad has installed on his 37as well. Here is the trick to make it work. Size the bushings 1 size smaller from the what you think they should be. Then install dry with the sway bar centered (it's actually an auto poise system). Tighten them down and do not ever grease them. It will work great for the rest of your life this way.
