1939 Hudson Front/Rear Ends -
-
Was watching a couple of auctions on Ebay, by a person out in Ft. Wayne, IN., who is 'rodding' a 1939 Hudson. They are re-doing the entire suspension, so do not need the existing components - which have already been removed (see below) -
Here are the Ebay Auctions, which closed without any bids -

I have a '39 Hudson Model 90 Pickup coming to me soon (hopefully), and might be able to use this stuff - Problem is, I know of no economical way to get it from Ft. Wayne, IN., to Maryland - would cost more to ship than it is probably worth...
While I am not positive that I could EVEN use these parts, I hate the thought of some good, useable parts such as these - going into the scrap heap
...
- Anyone "local" to Ft Wayne, IN., have an interest in these parts?
- Anyone with a LOT of extra 'hauling' space coming this way (Carlisle, Hershey, etc.,) from the Ft. Wayne, IN., area?
- Anyone have any other ideas or thoughts on this?
Just in case someone has an interest, here is the seller's email address -
HEThotrodsbyhardy@aol.com (remove the "HET") -
parts like these should be donated to people who need them.
the idiots who butcher perfectly good cars should not profit from their stupidity. -
I beg your pardon, That YOUR OPINION ONLY,
-
The intent here was not to make any statement "rod vs. restore", but an attempt to see that these parts get to someone who could use them... Since the 'seller' did not get any bids, they may be willing to take less - or possibly just say 'come and get them'.
I don't see a negative attitude or disposition helping in this instance. Any transaction in this type of situation (if possible) will depend on a friendly attitude, 'golden tongue', tact, and/or 'gift of gab...". -
On the other hand, the freight would be cheaper than the fuel to go and get them.
-
These items were sold on ebay - Buyer drove 6 hours form Canada for them, glad to see that some one could use them...
-
"From Canada" Typing not one of my best subjects...
