Air cleaner decal
-
Hello All. Does anyone have a soucre for the decal on the air cleaner for a 1935 Terraplane?

If the yellow is from age, I have them in the store #116 they are $2. (black & white) I was told they are for 36 to 47 but that could be wrong.(if so somebody please enlighten me as to actual years)
If they were yellow & black I will have some of those made!(years used would be helpful) -
I'm not an authority either, but Bruce Levey lists several Hudson decals on his website http://www.blaap.com/index.html
This company and many others are listed on my Hudson Repro Parts website at http://mysite.verizon.net/detailed1/Repro_Table.pdf . You might want to bookmark that for future reference. -
32 to 35 are listed seperately on both sites, so they must be yellow? However neither has pics to see what the difference is.

Hi Brownie, We manage to HET Club Store they are online in the car related section.
Also I have just finished ordering the 32-35 decals, they should be here in about two weeks. I promise you they won't be $9 like the other sites.

Thanks you all very much. As usual all help out with a bounty on knowledge. I'm not sure if the air cleaner I have is a 35. I was at a show here in NY last summer and was told by an older gentleman that the one in my car was not original. I purchased another from a local Hudson man with many parts. HE told me it was the right one. I'll post pictures of the two tomorrow.

I've attached pictures of the two different air cleaners. The one on the right was on the car when I got it. The one on the left is the one I purchased. The is the Special G no frills model. I was thinking maybe they put the little air cleaner on it to lower cost. Any ideas?
Thanks

there are numerous pics of the '35 air cleaner in the hudson service manual. it looks similar to the tall one, but the tall one in your shot is not the one illustrated in the manual. my '35 had an identical one to the one in the service manual, but it was so rotten it would have added more junk than it filtered so i sourced a NOS '35 chevy air cleaner. at least it is the correct vintage. regards, tom
