'41 Hudson Pickup @ BJ in Scottsdale
-
No photos or detailed info as yet, however it is listed as 'tan' in color...

It is my 'guess' that it is the same truck that sold at BJ back in 2006. Since that time, it has also been listed on eBay at least 6-8 times.
Here's the info & pictures from the '41 Hudson pickup back in 2006 -

I would say that the buyer is looking to try to get back the majority of their money spent on this truck. Since that time it has 'weathered' quite a bit, and has some 'presentation' issues evident in the photos that appeared on eBay and that will affect its sales price - unless the owner goes to the expense, time and trouble to get them fixed...
It won't happen in this economy - I don't think the upcoming 'BJ hammer price' will come within $8k of the price it brought the first time around ($36,300.00 back in 2006). Minus BJ's cut from the sale, I believe that the seller is looking at around a $10k-$12k loss.
Here's the last appearance of that truck, on eBay -

Some of the shortcomings. Granted- they are minor, but...

-
Pictures are online @ BJ's now. As suspected, the '41 in question is making a return appearance.
No new photos - The photos for the auction are the same used in previous eBay sales. -
The '63 Riviera they just hammered down at $28K was an absolute beauty. Made me wonder where the '64 Riv that my dad handed down to me is now. I sold it with 125,000 miles on the odomoter for $500 in 1971. What a car.
-
Damn nice truck for $27,000.
-
I was pretty close 'to the money'...
You're right, it was 'well bought' this time around. You couldn't restore it to the condition it is in for that money! -
If that truck was painted a red, black or blue color, I'd bet it would have brought more money.
-
Good eye, Rick.
I watched some of BJ's last night, and it seemed to me quite a few rigs were "well bought". I surely do get tired of the endless procession of Corvettes and Chevelles, however.
