1952 Packard Sedan
-
I have recently inherited a Packard that has been in my family for many years. My father bought it in 1958 from the original owner and has owned it since. It was the family car up untill about 1980 and has been on and off the road ever since, but mostly stored under cover.
I have talked with the other family members and none want the car. I haven't the time nor desire to put the car back on the road and am looking for your ideas on what it's worth(ball park) and where is the best place to list it.
1952 4 door sedan (400 series?)
302ci straight 8
All original with the exception of the colour. Original was robins egg blue but now it is metalic black.
Last on the road in the mid eighties and has been run every year since.
Lots of extra parts. (Dad was a mechanic and a bit of a pack rat). Grill's, lights, bumpers excetera.
Car is located on the Westcoast of Canada.
Thank you

Any pictures?
-
I don't have any scanned, but I certainly could. Any particular part of the car you would like pics of? It's in a carport that is fairly narrow but I can get some pics for you.
Feel free to email me medic4772001@yahoo.ca
Thanks -
any type price range yet
-
It can't be a 302 straight eight, if it's a 400 it'll be a 327.

the car is worthless if you measure it in the sense of money but it is worthy for the memory.

The quick answer (for the question I think you asked originally) is, that the two best ways to sell this would be
1) place an ad in Hemmings Motor News (www.hemmings.com) which is read worldwide by old car enthusiasts, or
2) put it on Ebay Motors. This is a shot in the dark, because it's a sudden sort of sale (no time for word to get around amongst Packard enthusiasts) and you're completely at the mercy of whomever happens to decide to bid on it. But, you'll sell it quickly, if that is your goal. -
WOW...Its sounds good to me
