'37 Terraplane PU - on eBay -
-
Located in Riverside, CA. Starting @ $20K(reserve not met). Looks like 'Blue Goose' older brother...

Headlight buckets look a bit odd, where the lense/chrome meets the bucket (?).For those of us that can't afford this, at least we can read about it -

And you can still get the back issue of this mag, from the publisher - and it's cheaper from them too!

Converted to seal-beamed? -

Looks like the left bucket is pointing downward a bit, but it might be the angle of the photo. There isn't much 'wrong' with this truck - I would LOVE to own & drive it - all I need is Bill Gates to give me a donation of $44,500!
On second thought, make that $47,000 (for enclosed transport to the east coast...). -
This is a gorgeous truck and I bet there is a ton of money spent in the restoration. Wonder what the reserve is.

Halogen bulbs... Would these have enough iluminating power?

It's a beauty allright. I also agree with Aaron, I love the lines of the '37. -

A lot depends on the lenses - if they are in good shape or have been re-silvered, it should be much better than the sealed beams. 'Jon B' swears by them... (Hi Jon!Halogen bulbs... Would these have enough iluminating power?

headlights have sealed beam conversion kit installed from the '40s. I would for sure use halogen bulbs, I had a couple 7 inch ones from new harleys, fit right in mine!! have little harley logos in center!

The original headlights worked quite satisfactorially and look a alot better than cobbling up an otherwise nice looking truck. That right headlamp appears to be searching for incoming enemy aircraft.Arkie

The halogen bulbs fit right into the socket, in place of the standard/stock bulbs, so there is no change in the appearance of the buckets, lenses or reflector. The original headlights worked quite satisfactorially and look a alot better than cobbling up an otherwise nice looking truck. My guess is that the truck hasn't been 'out' after dark in a long time...
