Bill helped me with a part for the 51 Pacemaker, and I was sure to go back to him for more. I loved reading the posts from him too. You've all said it, so there's little I can add -- this community has lost a mainstay and a wonderful fellow.

Pity about Bill, HET lost a real good loyal member...When I lived in CA. about 11 years ago, I purchased my first 1951 Commodore sedan and use to drive up to Fontana and purchased many parts from Bill; throughout the years I would order parts for many of my other Hudson projects and ask Bill to bring to Laughlin, Nevada Hudson meet held the first weekend in November where I would pick them up, we all will miss him at this year meet.

Both of my cars--37 TErraplane--51 pacemaker--have parts AND sound advice from Bill , he is also the one who insisted I get in HET , asked me to him the fee and he had me signed up. A true legend in his time . BUD

Not withstanding the friendship, helpfulness, and inspiration he gave us all, including the commitment go be at the national meets if he possibly could, even struggling with poor health.

I'm honored to have known him.

Bill had his "hands" all over the 1954 Jet we own---It won the very first Bill Albright Award in Seattle. Bill is in ALL the many Hudsons that have passed this way--And will be in all the rest that pass through.

Short story--We had the pleasure of Bill's company at a couple of the Turlock Swap Meets. I was amazed at Bill's ability to "Sniff out" Hudson parts and paraphenalia in the various booths. He had the uncanny knack to see HUDSON parts that no one else did. I had visited one particular booth two or three times, Bill came back later with a really nice HUDSON Fire Chief toy that I had not seen. Yep, same seller I had visited a couple of times!!

I first met Bill in the seventies when i went to his place with Jeff Pierce.He has

provided me with the parts I needed,if he hed them.On a road trip to bill's I left the owner of 47 hudson CP. Bill said if I was not in a hurry he would deliver it for the price of the fuel and breakfast.I awalways looked forward to

visiting at the San Diego swapmeet.He was a good guy and will be missed.

Bill was a good friend. Beside the 1954 Hornet coupe, there were many parts that I purchased from Bill.

The first time I meet Bill was at the Turlock Swap Meet in 1975. I was selling parts for Essex and other stuff. I did have a new stepdown cork clutch in its orginal box. Bill step up and ask the price. I said it is 20 bucks. But if you are a Hudson Club member then it's half off. Well Bill bought the clutch and we became great friends in the ensuing years. I located other cars for Bill and spoke many times on the phone about Hudson cars and parts needed or that were for sale. I will miss my good friend. I know that Jason will have to fill those shoes that Bill left behind, but I know that Jason will do an excellent job. So if any of you still need parts or a car, call Jason. You can count on him.

Remembering Bill forever.

I bought my 1932 Greater eight from him sight unseen. We dealt over the phone and I have never regretted it for a minute. I only wish now that I had the oppurtunity to have met him
