Rod & Kulture - Fall 2009 - 49 Brougham
-
Hey all,
On page 30, there is an article on the Hi Winders, a Cali car club that's going on 49 years. One of their pictures is a 49 Brougham that's powered by a '56 308.
I scanned in the section.

So where's the skanky "model" draped over the hood? Could it be Rod and Kulture finally has got "culture?"
-
My son Rick opened his magazine to show me the same article. Nice looking car.
We went to the Long Beach car show and swap meet this morning. No Hudson cars or Hudson parts that I could find.
Not used to getting up a 5 am. Took a nap. Alot of nice cars there. The Buick club had a display set up for interested people.
We had a good time execpt for the hot dogs. Started feeling not so good after eating one. OK now.
Have a good day. Lee -

Mike - I'm going to have to respectfully disagree with you on that one. I find the magazine pretty decent. The photography is very well done and they don't skimp out on the printing. They have 3 model pics in the entire issue and they are all done tastefully. You'll find more risque photography in a Cosmo magazine. I think if you looked at the most recent issue you'd have a change of heart.
Regards,

Sounds like you have Traditional Rod and Kulture confused with Ol Skool Rodz or Rebel Rodz. There is no comparsion. TR&K is dedicated to traditional hot rods, kustoms and bikes while the other two are merely cashing in on the "rat rod" craze that mars hot rodding today -
Those were the ones I was thinking of, I guess. Believe I'll take a look at the magazine rack next time at Safeway- Thanks for the "heads up".

You guys must be old, or married

Since when is it bad to have skanky, tatted women draped over kool cars?
-
Well I'm getting old and I am married but I would love having a picture of my truck with one of the models in it!

No offense to our female members. If they desire to have a 'hunk' or two hanging out of the window, I would put up with it...
 -

Sounds like a request for female input to me and since we're straying off the initial topic... If anyone's going to lay across the hood of my car, it's going to be me, lol. Hudson had their models do it. I think I could pull off the following photo...
