parking brake cables
-
sorry about the lack of specifics to the previous post what i am working on is a 46 hudson truck my parking brake cables are hosed the armored housing is crumbling although the brackets and the ends are reuseable with some cleanup effort what do most folks do for this are there some other types of cables that cross over or do most folks remanufacture thier own or are tthere some nos ones or used in god shape available best regards g
-
I have some NOS ones, will try & remember to throw them in the PU, but don't remember which they fit any longer.
-
I used a set from a car. soaked and cleaned and freed them up.worked grease all thrugh the housing made up a connector link a few inches long to make the difference between the truck and car length. Works great.

thank you all for the replies i would be interseted in those nos ones as a first choice that old hudson wrote in about i did get the old ones freed up but the armoured hosing the cable is running throughis in terrible unsafe condition i better have a block for the wheel if i plan any unlevel parking situations ha! - g
