Wow that is a good price for a truck in that condition.

agreed. It would probably cost twice that to redo one...

Good choice for a replacement engine, too. Back in the day a lot of the 46-47 trucks were fitted with just about any post-47 engine Hudson had - 232, 262, 308 and even 254 straight eights.

I got to visit with the owner of this truck 7 years ago. The workmanship is great and the truck looked super. This truck originated in Texas. Jim Guinn of Nocona sold the truck to the current owner.

I'd like here to vouch for Everett's workmanship as I've know him well for 10 years & visited his workshop & home often.

The term "Big Boy" is a carry over from their pre-war lineup, which included a 1/2 ton and the 3/4 ton versions of the truck. The 3/4 ton version was known as the "Big Boy".

"Big Boy" was actually dropped by post-war Hudson, and there is no literature from Hudson referring to the 1946-1947 Hudson pickups as "Big Boy".

Very nice truck. If I didn't already have my Blue Goose, I might consider this purchasing this one.
