If anyone is interested, check it out.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Hudson-6-Mallory-dual-point-distributor-232-262-308-six_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trkparmsZ72Q3a1240Q7c66Q3a2Q7c65Q3a12Q7c39Q3a1Q7c240Q3a1318Q7c301Q3a1Q7c293Q3a1Q7c294Q3a50QQ_trksidZp3286Q2ec0Q2em14QQhashZitem150337133434QQitemZ150337133434QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories

where do you get parts for these? We had one on our 51 hornet back in the late 50's, but they were still being manufactured. I think you would be better off getting the electronic ignition, unless you want a period hot rod part.

I'll give you $1.01 . . . that way you can do better than the last auction.

Hahaha. That trans oil pan sold for eleven bucks, including the shipping charge. The auction cost was about a dollar, the actual shipping cost was twelve dollars! Not to mention the time taken to box it up, finding a box, then running over to the post office. Don't anyone mention this to Dan/Rambo's Ride,....I don't wanna' hear "I told ya' so." haha:p
Oh well. -

This is a ZB distributor, the ZB points , I don't think they are available anymore, and the ZC points were available up to about 5 years ago, but don't know if they are still available now. I have a few spare sets of points for my ZC distributor. I think it makes more sense to convert to an electronic distributor these days. Like you said, a Mallory dual point is best for a period look. -
I have one of these and there is a guy in I think Arkansas that can convert it to electronic. Some parts are available but are definately High Dollar. I use mine for a conversation piece. Then again I am a cheapskate!

Here are Mallory answers on getting points and conderser for ZB distributors.
Points
"There is a part number stamped on the points plate. If it is a P/N 24205 it is almost impossible to find. If it is a P/N 24905 Echlin has a cross over set of points that will fit. The cap is a P/N 4001 and the rotor is P/N 4215C. If you have to replace either of these two parts replace them both as the style has changed on both pieces".
condenser
"The old condenser is no longer available but our current replacement is a P/N 28005A".
