begining biuld of 51 merc
-
I have aquired a 1951 mercury and it is in need of some body panels like floor front rear and trunk, rockers, rear quarters the usual after a few years in the yard. I am having a tough time finding any companies that reproduce 51 mercury body parts it seems to stop at 50. Am I out of luck or does anyone out there now of any company that has started producing panels for this year mercury. I have looked on line and everything seems to take me to a ford and thats it. Unless these specific panels can be interchangeable but I doubt. I could be wrong. any help would be greatly appriciated by anyone. Thanks
P.S. Where would I need to go to decode the VIN number to identify original style, engine size, etc....? -
should be a 255 flattie.
715-537-5422 Classic Fabrication-for the merc floor pans is worth a shot.
My dad had a 51, I think they used the same stuff as the 50.
