holley 600 cfm trouble
-
Ok,
im Running a holley model 1850-3 600 cfm carburetor with a edlebrock preformer intake with one inch adapter plate on a stock small blck 400 with a turbo 350 tranny and 3.73 reat end
I'm having a problem with tunning, in order to get max vacum i run the idle air mix screws all the way in. wich makes it run rich so i tried rejetting i put in 62 to replace the the stock 66 jets still have to run screws all the way in runs rich and stumbles to take off and at high rpm (above 2500) help please -
Here is a link to one of the best tunning articles will find on your carb: http://www.fordmuscle.com/archives/2005/08/EdelbrockCarburetor/ I have used it many times. However, in the end you may just want to switch to a Demon Carb from Barry-Grant. The 1850 series just does not cut for perfromance in my book. The tuning on the Demon is easy and it works. Also, you should be running HEI with either carb.
