1972 lemans brake light on?

Ive got a 1972 luxury lemans and the brake light is on and the pedal is soft. It has new pads and drums. I bled the brakes and it fixed it temporarily, but then the light came back on and the pedal went soft again. Anybody out there have any ideas?

A soft pedal usually indicates that there is air in the system due to a leak someplace. Have you inspected all the lines and all the wheel cylinders?
