Are These Essex Wheels?
-
These 18 inch wheels were posted on the AACA forum for ID. The thought is that they are Essex because of the hex pattern on the hub caps. Is this true?

-
They look like the rims that are on my '32 Essex, but I am not 100%.....
-
In the 1920's Essex wheels had a hub cap shaped as the Essex emblem and said Essex on them I beleive.
Hudson's had the same thing, only tirangular. There was a special hub cap wrench with the triangle on one end and the Essex emblem shape on the other.

I don't think these are Essex wheels because these wheel have six lugs and I don't think Essex used six lug wheels did they?
-
1930 Essex & Hudson used 6 stud wheels only difference Essex was 19" & Hudson 18".One other our Essex had drop centre rims as in the pic. & our Hudson has flat rims with lock rings.
