My 1948 chevy Rattles
-
:confused:Ok I have a pretty 1948 chevy...I would say she is in pretty good shape..I bought her a couple of years ago...So she is all original...So i have been doing some moderate repairs...One of the Repairs I would like like to do is stop her rattling and loud noise everytime I hit a bump...I have checked all bolts on her body they seem very Tight..So i do not know how to stop her rattle..The car rattles everytime I hit a huge bump..Do I need an anti sway bar? What can I do any advice? Now she is orignal, confused So i take it in 48 people had this problem...I would think now there are parts to fix this...
thanks so much

first thing is to lacate the rattles
i have a 53 chev, had trunk rattles, inner fender panel vibration, rattling wind deflectors, and many rattling windows along with close to a wind hurricane
but its quiet when parked
so you have to locate and repair the problem and it could come from many places
used to be a new car service manager at a Chevrolet dealer and got all kinds of customer complaints, diagnosis, hit the bottom of gloove box and wait for the junk to land and remove all the contents after that
keep at it sometimes takes a few repairs to get to the right thing
