How many Packard guys
-
So are there any Packard owners still alive around here?
-
Yes, there are still Packard owners... And DAMM proud of it
-
Well it took 3 months of another Packard owner to surface proud or not.

Hey Twitch,
How the hell are 'ya? I'm sure u r doin' good. I have an old '53 Cabriolet 300. It has a straight 8 327ci. It hasn't been tagged since '66, but I drive it around out here on the back streets by my farm. It is a 4-door. It also smokes quite a bit, I love it anyway though.....R.V. -
Great! My '50 is completely original except for paint, radials, rechrome and driver's seat area only reupholster. Runs great with 77,000 miles. It stands out at the cruise ins when there are a zillion Chevies.

Well, most of the Packard folks are over here on the AACA subsite:

Yeah Trog, I signed up over there too but got tired of the weenies with agendas always trying to dominate forums and force their wills.

Yep, "tolerance" sometimes is needed but just for a very few folks on the site. Most are great folks and have been on that site or previous Packard sites for many years. You get to know the "good guys" and I have a met a few of them thru the years and know them personally. They are what hold the site together.
I received a tremendous amount of help when restoring my '56 Clipper Custom, as well as my '55 Patrician and '41 120. The parts interchangeability thread is really great. One of the threads I started about Packard oil pumps was one of the highest rated and long threads on the forum. There have been several other very interesting threads as well, like Treadlevacs and the unique Torsion Level suspension. -
Yeah the Packard guys are super! It's the others on other parts of the general forums....

Guys, check out the Hudson forum on this site. It gets a ton of traffic--about 30-40 posts per day-- and they've been able to help me out on a few troubles regarding my '54 Kaiser when my own K-F forum seems to be almost dead. I tend to feel that they help carry the Orphan Flag for us on this site and it only makes sense that us orphan lovers flock together and help each other out once in a while."Problems are merely opportunities in workclothes." -Henry J.
