Changes, Yes....Changes.
-
Hello Hudson Club Members,
It’s a new year already, time sure flies. This month we are updating all our network servers. The Hudson Club is on one the servers we plan to update this month. Shortly, we will be moving the club site and there maybe some downtime. We are shooting for no downtime, but several tasks are outside of our control and we are at their mercy to facilitate a smooth change. Club members with Email accounts need to contact our webmaster or me to redo passwords. POP mail should not change, expect for passwords.
The only really noticeable change you might see is faster loading times and a better back end for those that administer the club site. Oh, yeah…the security is better….but that is seldom a worry for members. We apologize for any disruption this may cause you. The change should happen before the end of the month.
Also, there are some big changes coming to ClassicCar.com in the next few months. First, we will be changing to a faster server, that is a small thing….we will let you know when that might happen.
As valued members, we will be offering a sneak peek to the Hudson Club. In truth, we are looking for you guys to “kick the slats†out of the new site and offer your feedback for changes and recommendations. All I can say now is that the concept is new to the car community and it will be a ground breaking event. The forums will not change, but we should see a lot of new visitors. A small morsel?………..no I can’t say yet.
We thank all our members for being patient and supporting ClassicCar.com! You folks are the backbone of the community.

Looking forward to the changes - I'll certainly pound on the new site and try and break/test it for ya!
Thanks for the heads up and the work behind the scenes!
New servers, space, bandwidth costs money (even if its leased) and a lot of time to setup
Let's see - the new site format wouldn't be a Social Networking site for Classic car lovers would it?
