green book
-
I see in the WTN the John Conde has passed on. That's a shame. He wrote a great book on Hudsons that we (in our family) refer to as "The Green Book", because it's cover is green. My Dad has a copy and I would like to have one too. Does anyone know where I might find one, preferably new?
-
If you're looking for new, Amazon.com or eBay may be your best bet.
-
if you are looking for "the cars that hudson built" by conde, that book has been out of print for some time. once in a while on E-bay or check out of print book sellers. i looked for a year before i found a copy i could afford. i just checked world wide book search. amazon has 1 copy at $65, ABEBOOKS has three starting at $81. (this is at 11:44 on 24jan08.) regards, tom

My wife found me one last year out of Australia, but that's about the going rate.

You can find them on ebay semi-regularly. Also, the prices on this particular book are way down compared to what they were a year ago at this time. I'd suspect the economy, etc.
I like www.abebooks.com too. Look on Amazon too. With these three websites, you're bound to find a half dozen or so. Good luck ever finding a brand new copy, if that's important to you.
