My 1970 Chevy C20 makes a psshhhh sound when I turn it off...whats wrong with it? any help?

Its coming from the front, im not sure exactly where, but I took it to a mechanic & he said it was a Vacuum Leak, and that all I needed was a PVC Valve Grommet...any thoughts? -
Have you tried a new gromet?

Yea just put it in...but ill have to drive it a bit more to see if it still makes the "pshhhh"...
