Politics Post, Don't Like, Don't Read !
-
I thought the government of California was out of control and a bunch of morons but I have seen it all now with the Illinois never ending scandel I watched on the News today 12-30-08.
-
Yep Ron, our last Govenor is spending his time in the pokie. Maybe they will be rommies????
Isn't the government there to help these poor guys rack up a ton of money swindling the general public??
Ron -
Wow - and this is the political culture the PEOTUS hails from?
Sometimes the tree doesn't fall far from the NUTZ - things could get interesting
-
I don't think there's a state in the union that isn't out of control. There should be a petition going around that requires newly elected officials to get fitted for prison jump suits.

Ah,the quote of the day-
LOL;) -
Before you guys get your panties in a twist you should do your homework and check your data before you make stupid statements. One or two states that are out of control does not mean that all states are in the trash. It is the unconsiderate comments and statements of error that cause folks to hate discussions of politics. I'll admit that this is the right forum for this type of trash talk, but please take a minute or two to get your facts straight before you show how little you know.... JMHO

What's life without a Hudson? -
haha... awsome. You know IL has different types of license plates for everything. Your favorite college football team, or even if you want to raise endangered spiecies awareness. Fundraising possibilities are endless! When they introduced that new plate the Sec of State said "The citizen's of IL. are screaming for new license plates." and I was like , "Huh?! I have issues I'm conserned about but I don't recall a lot of people complaining about that chunk of sheet metal on the back of their car."

That's a good one Dave.
I wonder when Rod will be selling the customized plates he'll be making. -
People should not be "angry" here, it's just a discussion!

So true, especially considering the heading of this thread. -
I don't like politicians or politics. If they truely want to serve the public good then they should all have term limits.

This Forum gives me the right. Just as it gives everyone else the right to say what they want concerning items posted on this site. Go back and read my comment and If you felt that my comment on fairness was rude then let me be the first to say I am sorry. My intent was not to be rude but to simply keep the comments fair and truthfull. I spent some years very active in the political light. I met a great number of public servents that were honest and fair to a fault. I met some that were on the other side. Point being, there is good and bad people in public service. Just as there are in all organized groups. I just happen to think that in my State the good far outnumber the others. The comment about all should be fitted for a jump suit is showing an unfair level of incivility. Hence my comment about why discussions on politics get nasty. Once again, if I offended anyone, I am sorry....Brownie -

You are sadly mistaken if you think that your ability to use any forum gives you the right to cast civility aside and insult people by suggesting that they're stupid. Your use of the word stupid was anything but fair and truthful as was your equally baseless and inflamatory comment of, "unfair level of incivility." BTW, your latest flame prompts a question. I'm curious to know what would be a fair level of incivility? You need to practice tollerance and learn how to express your opinions without insulting others and calling them names. You obvioulsy read more into my post than was intended. If you don't like or understand what I or anyone else posts, try comunicating with them before you judge them or their comments. My reference to elected officials and jump suits was simply the feeling that is being expressed here in Illinois, the state where myself, my fellow citizens and even our president elect have to endure the shame of a scandalous governor. Even with that being said, my comment was made in jest and was not an indictment of every single elected official. I'm glad that you've met public servants that you feel are beyond reproach and live in a state where the good outnumber the bad. However, until such a time that you move to Illinois and nurture an intimate understanding of its citizens and politics, I think you need to reserve your comments to what you know of your state and its citizens. I will gladly accept your apology as soon as your comments warrant it. -

Once again, I am sorry that I offended you. It was not my intention. I will now follow your advice: "Shut up and Drive"Brownie
