63 Pontiac Bonneville Convertible

I have a friend who has a Red 1963 Pontiac Bonneville Convertible that she is looking to sell. It has all the goodies, a 389 4 barrel V8, and 105,000 miles, but was rebuilt 5000 miles ago. All of the numbers match, and it is all original. The only item of note is that the convertible top needs to be replaced as her husband was restoring it, but sadly passed away this year. She has been given what she feels is a lowball offer of in the vicinity of $20,000. for it. I can provide more information about it if anyone is interested, and if this is the proper forum in which to do so.

You may reply to this post or send me an email if you are interested, or if you know if that sounds reasonable as an offer for it.

    Thanks,

    John

PS If this should be in classifieds, I will delete it, but I'm not sure how much the vehicle is worth.

Your brief description on the vehicle is usually not enough for someone to say if it sounds like a good price or not. In fact the only way to tell what a car is really worth is to examine it closely.

If you posted some photos, area where the car is located and any bad spots that you know of it would help emensly and may draw more interest and/or results. If you are un-able to post photos, feel free to send them to my e-mail and I would be willing to post them for you or give an opinion.

You could check places like e-bay or Hemmings to see if you can find a similar car and get some sort of idea as to what others are looking to get for theirs.

You could also find a reputable appraiser to find it's worth.

One thing to remember is to not be in a hurry to sell until you are feeling good about the amount that is offered.

    Best of luck
