For Dog Lovers...

And finally...
Inner Peace
If you can start the day without caffeine,
If you can get going without pep pills,
If you can always be cheerful, ignoring aches and pains,
If you can resist complaining and boring people with your troubles
If you can eat the same food every day and be grateful for it,
If you can understand when your loved ones are too busy to give you any time,
If you can take criticism and blame without resentment,
If you can resist treating a rich friend better than a poor friend,
If you can conquer tension without medical help,
If you can relax without liquor,
If you can sleep without the aid of drugs,
...Then You Are Probably The Family Dog!HETfortyqtpi@earthlink.net (drop the HET) -

Rambo LOVES snow - but has never been in stuff that deep!
Rambo runs at full speed dipping his head down to lick the snow as he runs! -
Labs have always been a curiosity to behavior experts. In ethology textbooks, Labs always have an asterix- there's just no accounting for some things. I really looked forward to learning about animal behavior in a class I took at U of Washington in 1971- but alas, my newliwed wife and I both contracted the flu, and spent the next 3 weeks in bed together, with mixed results vis a vis revovery from our illnesses (its difficult to dedicate yourself to recovery, when there are just so many fascinating distractions). I had to drop my animal behavior class, and our recoveries took longer than they should have, but in retrospect, it was probably worth it.
Live well, and fully, Rambo. . . -
On familiar ground in new snow like that, dogs miss all their usual smells, territory markers included. Our beagle used to go nuts looking for a scent...

Thanks for posting that video. I haven't seen my dog in nearly a month and that made me smile. Can't wait to get home to see him. And the wife, of course.

Merry Christmas All,
Bob
