Guess you should have kept your original 1913 plates Sam.
Boy, am I mad I threw away those Abu Dhabi plates. -
Utah plates are no where near that in cost. Also, there are some still around. I started with a few that I cared about and ended up with a few on the wall all purchased for a few bucks at swap meets. My favorite is the plate from my year of birth. The 1944 plate was made from soy bean with a clear lettered covering. Most went the way of cows, sheep, etc., in the fields. Most of the rest "melted" in the winter storms. When I got mine, I paid a "huge" price of $25.00 (this was back when most plates could be had for a buck). Best offer to date is $700. When the right Beeline Oil Company quart can is going for $4,000 it is still a good price in todays market...

I have NJ 1931 Tag #V21111 that needs restored, but would be easy.. No bad rust, just needs painted again.
Some one that needs it ...make me an offer. -
I collected WY plates sense I was 8 . these are all original condition , there are 3 fiber board , a 1944 car and two PSC, one of them is a 1945. they span 1916 to 1959 , have newer ones in the box. Im missing a 1920-21. the 1913 ,14 and 15 are to big money for me !

Dave, FYI the "V" on your tag stands for Morris county. New Jersey has 21 counties so there was a distinctive letter for every county. Similar to the way other states used a county number prefix on their tags. I too have a "V" 1931 New Jersey tag. How weird is that? ( V19602).
