Transmission Id Help!?!?!?
-
Hey all, I'm new here and have a couple questions. Bought a house and found a transmission and a bell housing in the garage. They are both old and don't match and muncie or borg warner descriptions. I think they might be from a bel-air but don't know how to check.
The trans has GM 597615 and c239
Also says 591620 its a 10 spline input.
Main housing has 3686832 gm on it.
The bell housing has 3836201 GM on it.
Thanks for any help!

3 = TH 350 13 Bolts
4 = TH400 13 Bolts
5 = TH200-4R 16 Bolts
6 = TH700-R4, 4L60, 4L60E 16 Bolts

I checked all the sites you listed and no luck. I've been searching everywhere. I think it is older than all the other trannies I've seen on those sites.
i put a pic on photobucket.

Try the guys on the A.A.C.A. site in the what is it board. Someone will have an answer.
I have been unable to find a site that helps with those numbers.
If you have a problem, let me know and I will post it for you.
