Rambo Update: It's A Good One!
-
Yes!
So far, Rambo dog has been off chemo treatments for 1 month and I can really tell the difference.
He's playing tough like he did before; his hair is growing back and getting it's normal shine and texture again (he was lookin' pretty knappy for a while ~ guess I would too!)
He'll be 9 years old in Feb '09 and I'm treating every day, every fetch, every ear scratch (every mess to clean-up) as a gift!
Most of you have never met Rambo the Dog...but I can tell you this Custom or Stock he'd love you all the same - he's the typical "Happy Lab" (yet, well mannered!)
Thanks to everyone for their thoughts and prayers!
(P.S. Is anyone else ready for this year to be over with yet

Good deal, Dan. Losing good friends is tough.Workin Stiff

Thanks for the GOOD NEWS update on Rambo! This is something to be thankful for this Thanksgiving
Enjoy your time with him.
Yes, '08 has been a crappy year but we will get thru it!
Peace,

Great news Dan, I know you were worried about him so it's good to see he's on the mend and getting back to his ol self.

Dan - As I have aged my life has played out as my GGrandfather and Grandfather predicted. Events will come and go and some will be hard to experience and others will be happily welcomed. As I think through all I am Thankful, I can say... 2008 was a wonderful year. My sister is now cancer free, an adult child successfully overcame abuse of alcohol, my daughter's MS has become dormant, a grandson dying of liver failure recieved the gift of life through a transplant and most of all my family enjoys health and the opportunites freedom has brought.
No intent to contradict the fact uncertainty, leadership change and a financial millstone has been added to our joined lives, but to share on a personal level, life is full of peaks and valleys... this year our family travelled through a very long and dark valley to a sunny place we enjoy today.
Best to all and Happy Thanksgiving. -
Great News from Dan and WildWasp

Glad to hear that Rambo the WonderDog is doing well! Like you, my dogs mean the world to me, and I don't know what I'd do without them! Amazing things that veterinary medicine can do these days, for certain!
Give him a dog treat and a pat on the head from me, DeeDee and GiGi, my two little Chihuahuas!"The time has come", the Walrus said, "to speak of many things. Of shoes and ships and sealing wax, of cabbages and kings. And why the sea is boiling hot,
And whether pigs have wings..." -
Thanks All!
Life has it's ups and downs for sure!
There's the old saying "Adversity builds character"
....I've got all the "character" I need
:p
Here's a current pic of my boy - I think this bout made aged him a bit (grayer beard ~ now he's getting to look like his old man!)
-
Dan, he looks good. In Rambo's honor I put up my dog Wiley's pic as my avatar. He's getting old but he still likes riding in the Hornet.

Dan,
I am glad to read that Rambo is doing much better now. :)I had been wondering but leary to ask since I am a real softie for dogs... I have two Schnauzers that mean the world to me....
Happy Thanksgiving to Everyone -
Great to hear Rambo's doing better. I lost Dusty last year to cancer. When we found out he had it, the Doc gave him a month. He lasted 5 days and got so weak we has to let him go. We still have his son Max and hopefully he'll be around for many more years! Enjoy Rambo each and every day. It's hard to let them go! Walt
