Carb mystery for the new guy
-
Hello all.
I've bought 2 Carter carbs (model YF} that I can't use for their intended purpose. They're connected by linkage and gas line. Can y'all help me find out what they fit? I wanna' put two carbs on my '50 Commodore 6.
Thanx in advance! -
The best way to get a response that will provide you the chance to use or sell the items you have will be to provide the carburator ID tag information. With that information, those who posess Carter books can look up application information and those who sell or can direct you to the sellers of kits will be able to do so.
The 50 C 6 262 engine will accept the later Twin H set ups meant for later engines. Aftermarket manifolds and carburators were manufactured for this engine too. The Clifford intake manifold can be used to add additional venturi to your carburation set up.
Good Luck
