1947 Hudson Pickup Question

Hello,
Does anyone know if the owner's manual for the 1947 Hudson pickup has been reprinted?
I took possession today of a 1947 Hudson pickup that I recently purchased on E-Bay:

It is not in as good as shape as I was hoping for, but I am happy with it. The body is solid and appears to be complete. It needs brake work and fuel system work before it would be driveable, but it does start and run smoothly.
This is my first vintage vehicle, so I will have a lot of questions as things progress. My application for HET Club membership will go in the mail tomorrow. Thank you for any assistance you can provide.

Hudson didn't make any Owner's Manual specifically for their pickup trucks. Just look for an Owners Manual for a 1947 Hudson. They commonly appear on ebay...
Also while you are at it, you'll want to pick up a 'Mechanical Procedure Manual', 'Car Year Models 1942 to 1947 Incl.'
- The Hudson Club sells reprints, or you can find these on eBay...

Steve, I don't know how much you know about Hudsons, but a lot of truck components interchange with the Hudson passenger cars, both sheet metal and mechanical.
You've probably found the HET's website at http://www.hudsonclub.org/, but look around it thoroughly, there is a lot of information to be had.
Do contact Larry Cramer ("Uncle Josh" as he's known in these parts), who keeps the roster for "commercial" Hudson vehicles, and give him some information on your truck, such as condition, serial number, your name and address, etc. HETcramerlp@roadrunner.com (drop the HET before sending). In return, I'm sure he'll let you know if there are any fellow '46-7 truck owners in your vicinity, for you might someday want to contact them for technical help. -

It looks like you have a really nice truck. It looks like one of the more original ones I've seen lately. Mine has been modified with Chevy drivetrain and has quite a bit of bondo.
The search feature on this forum is very helpful, and you won't find a better place for general information.
Nice purchase, especially for your first vintage car.

You really bought a nice original Truck. I woulnt totally restore it being in that good of condition. You may want to consider just doing some mechanical updates and a paint job.

Looks like a very nice original Hudson truck, not being pickie, but , is that steering wheel upside down.???? Wish we had a few of those down under.
