Mystery brake shoes

    I picked these up in a truckload of 'Hudson' parts. They don't look like anything I have, (36, 40, 47, 49, 52).

Do they look familiar to anyone? The tag says they came from

Davidson Brothers, Hudson/Packard/International , Morgantown, WVA, probably a long time ago as the phone # is 9494.

    Thanks

    Larry

    Hello UJ,

The shoe on the left in the picture you posted is a Huck type shoe, like used on Chevys in the 40's. It is a non-self energizing type.

Can't help you with the one on right, although it's not the Bendix self energizing type due to the anchor pin placement opposite of the actuating pin notch.

    Hi

Is there an address or date for the Davidson Bros. dealership?

Please advise if so as I am working to update the World Wide Hudson dealers book, thanks

Hope this picture shows. Its a nailed on metal tag on the passenger side seat that I would guess was the original seller of my 1929 Hudson.

Hey Sheldon.....I chatted with Bob today about the 29 Victoria. This is what the tag says and the dealer is still there but only has the Normandin name and is a Chrysler dealer. I emailed them about my Hudson but never heard from them..Oh well... Ron

    Hi Ron,

That is a really neat tag, could you pleae type as I cannot make it out

The 29 Victoria I recently owned had a brass tag similar to this

    for a dealer in Canada.
