What did engine come out of?

need help please-i have a 1948 dodge pickup-i know the engine is not original-some parts i order fit some don't-pretty sure its a 218 engine-from what i don't know.
the number stamped between #1 and #2 cylinder is N249448 CAL. on the cylinder head is D 1311804-1. on the lower engine block is the #1119729-15-also on block is 49 12-22. -
