Hello Miss Julie and I are new here (54 Customline)
-
Hello to all. Miss Julie and I are new here. Miss Julie is a stock 1954 Ford Customline Sedan, that my wife and I just got. I use to ride motorcycles but my back will not take it anymore. So we traded for Miss Julie so that my wife and I would still have something to do together.
A little about us..... Me I am Rick and my wife is Kristina. We live in Gaston Co. North Carolina. We have a small farm here and we use to spend much of our time on motorcycle. I am a third generation logger and my back no longer wants to tolerate the pains of a bike ride. My wife is in food service and this is her first old car of any kind. I use to be very fond of muscle cars and sleepers. But I thought that to much temptation to get in trouble on the roads.
And Miss Julie is our 1954 Ford Customline that we just got. She is in very good shape and drivable. She is Light Green Metallic in color and still runs on the factory 6 volt system. Julie is bone stock, no upgrades. Factory 223 inline 6 cyclinder, 3 on the tree, no radio (dash still sealed), interior has been redone about 10 years ago and new paint laid several years ago. My wife and I are the fourth owners since she was new. She has always been in NC and I hope for it to stay that way. We got her from a service man who was ready for something new before he began his third tour overseas for us.
I hope to meet some friends here and learn some tricks and tips in reguards to these old cars.
Hammer
P.S.
Sorry about the tiny pics but the fourm would not allow my larger ones.
