Looking for a 308 Oil Pan
-
Hello Fellow Hudnuts,
I successfully removed the oil pan from the 308 in my car for cleaning and am I glad I did.
After getting all of the gunk out of it tonight, I discovered several small pinholes in a rusted corner of it. There was so much gunk in it that it didn't leak. Doe anyone out there in Hudsonland have another good pan available for purchase? Also the rubber or plastic ring around the intake pipe to the oil pump is basically toast. Is there a replacement out there for purchase? As they say if it ain't broke, fix it till it is!!!

If cant find one I have brazed oil pans testing for leaks with water and they held well. That small seal is included with pan gasket sets. Maybe get one seperatly from Dale Cooper (Ace Auto Parts) 513 821 6200 or Dave Kostasek 440 293 4079

Fortunately, the pans from a 262 or 232 will fit that block, as well. I've used a hardware store o-ring for that seal with a bit of silicone, but you may as well contact Dale Cooper for a new pan gasket set anyway.Workin Stiff
