Hello and thanks to all that have posted pictures on my other post. There are some great pictures and we got a bunch of ideas for our car. Time is just about here to start the tear down on the Hudson. We decided not to restore the car back to original form but build a hot rod out of it the way we want it. It will get a different chassis and to put some big tires in the rear. I will use a front sub frame and build the rest my self. Engine where still not sure of yet. We want the car to be as low as possible. There wont be a lot a body mods but a few, no door/trunk handles, all the chrome will not be put back on, different tail light and may do something with the headlight. We don't have it all finalized yet but it is starting to come together on paper. What chrome I have will be sold along with the rolling chassis when I get the body off. If you have any suggestions Id like to hear them (Good or bad!). This is my first hot rod I'm building but have built many drag racing cars. Here is a link to my photo bucket where you can see all the pictures I took. http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v231/TomasVokoun/1947%20Hudson%20Super%206/

    Thanks Brian

Glad to see that you are moving along on your project - sounds like you really want to get moving on it!
I am very interested in seeing what you will be doing with it - and how you will do it as well...

You might want to begin your thead on your 'new' hot rod in the "Street Rods" Section of the Forum - There are quite a few others here who are going the modified route, and some that are 'closet rodders'... :p LOL!

    Keep us posted, ok?

I think you might want to direct your plans for your car to the rodder section of this forum.
