For those of us who weren't into Hudsons back in the days!

Some of the songs, I haven't heard in awhile.

"Let me tell the story, I can tell it all

About the mountain boy who ran illegal alcohol

Daddy made the whiskey, son he drove the moon

When his engine roared they called the highway Thunder Road"

P.S. I only saw one Hudson

I saw Thunder Road back in the day, and was excited to see it again when it showed up on one of the classic movie channels awhile back. Kind of a disappointment- most of the time they were just sitting around talking- like the country song says, they needed "a little less talk and a lot more action."

BTW, I think the line in the song is "son he drove the load"- it rhymes, that way.

For those who are interested in how "SHINE RUNNIN" developed some of the best ROUND TRACK HUDSON drivers... the Dawsonville Moonshine Festival is a great event. Note the ... TIM FLOCK... embosment on a Chrysler. The Flocks were all originally associated with running the hair of the dog before becoming legendary Hudson and other marque stockcar drivers. Great fun .... check it out!
