I'm excited to say that I saw several very nice Hudsons on my recent vacation in Michigan. You may recognize Fred Pinder's '33 Essex and Jim Jager's '35 Essex. Those were taken at the Del Shannon Memorial Car Show in Coopersville. Also shown is a pose in the Ypsilanti Heritage Museum. If you haven't had the chance to visit Ypsilanti, I cannot emphasize what a great collection they have their and the curator, Jack Miller, is a wealth of information. Lastly is the infamous Tea Cup Test apparatus.

Here's a picture of a '51 as well as an advertisement banner, both located at the Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners. http://www.gilmorecarmuseum.org/

Sarah, is that you and your daughters in the pose? If so it is nice to put a face to a name, and it is a great family picture. Thank you for sharing your pictures with us.

Actually, Sarah, the "tea cup" in that picture is, I belive, a milage finder (wrong words, but...) what you do is fill the container with a measured amount of gas (the container is marked) and then see how far you can go on that amount thus giving you mpg. The main fuel feed from the tank is by-passed. Interesting little gadget - would be nice to have on the display shelf.

I had one of these gadgets years ago.

Nice pictures, Jack Miller is a past president of the national HET club and no stranger to most HET people a wealth of information on Hudsons. Chuck G

Yes, that would be my daughters and I. According to my girls, "Look mommy, it's your favorite! It's Doc Hudson!"
