Well HET aced the car show today. The featured marquee was American motors and our chapter made a good showing with my '36T, 2 '47PU's, a '49SS, '49C, '50P and a '56H. There were also 2 very nice '34 Nash's, a metro, a Rambler station wagon and a couple of good looking AMC's. This is a really big car show with classes from A - N and a couple of hundred cars. In our class (F - the featured marquee,) my '36T got 1st, one of the '47PU's 2nd and an AMC got 3rd. We got a lot of good comments about the Hudsons and we think that we got two new members (the '49SS & the '56H are not currently member of our chapter but are members of the national club.) And as always a good time was had by all, kicking tires and swapping lies and looking at all of the fabulous cars.

Here are some pics of the show from our member, Jake. By the way, one of the '34 Nashes, was a Lafayette, their equivilent of a Terraplane. I am waiting on more pics from another member, my camera had died last week.

National City, CA., just south of San Diego. It was their 17th annual Automobile Heritage Day. It is a quite well established show in our area and it draws a very nice selection of classics and early cars, as well as hot rods and even low riders. They had a huge crowd of spectators, all very interested in the cars! It was even a pretty hot day, but National City is right on the San Diego Bay, so there is a nice ocean breeze.
