1940 Chevy Vin Tag Location
-
I have a 1940 Chevy Deluxe 4 door sedan and have had no luck locating the vin tag. Can anyone let me know where it may be located? The car is reasonably complete so It should be somewhere. Please help. Thanks

According to the Standard Catalog of American Cars - 1805 - 1942
The serial number is located on a plate on the right side of the floor pan in front of the front seat. Starting KB-1001 ending KB-20946.
Engine numbers were on the right side of the engine on a milled pad on crankcase near rear of distributor.
