Upholstery Fabrics & Vinyls -53/54 Superjet or Super Wasp
-
Does anyone know of a source to duplicate this upholstery material. All of the sudden, the checked material in my Superjet has totally deteriated where the seat cushion and seatback meet. Would like to be able to have the seats redone in a similar material, but have not been able to locate it anywhere. Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried SMS Auto Fabrics? They sell newly-manufactured upholstery that matches several years of Hudsons. http://www.smsautofabrics.com/

Yes Jon I've tried SMS, and the samples they sent me are more for the cars of the later 50's. They did however have a medium green checked material similar to the '53 Hornet!
Thanks for your post.

This is probably not a 'match' either but you might check it out... http://groups.msn.com/HudsonEssexTerraplaneBulletinBoard/miscuploads.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=2254 . One thought: have you checked with other Jet owners to see where they get their material? You could look through the H-E-T roster or consult the person who keeps the Jet registry for the Club.

Thanks again Jon. My daughter is an interior designer, and is familiar with both Duralee and Peachtree. We will contact them and see if they have anything available that will work in the Super Jet
