Looking for a big rearend (1971 dodge dart)
-
Have you tried moparts.com
Ron -
Or www.mopowerstyle.com
You will need the larger driveshaft yolk for an 8-3/4", plus new, larger U-bolts to attach it to the springs, in case you may not know.
Be prepared to pay $$$ when you find one."The time has come", the Walrus said, "to speak of many things. Of shoes and ships and sealing wax, of cabbages and kings. And why the sea is boiling hot,
And whether pigs have wings..." -
If you haven't found one yet you may want to check out car shows/swap meets in your area.
I recently bought an 8 3/4 with 323 gears at Carlisle's annual Chrysler show for my '72 Dart. It cost me $475 for axles and U-bolts and all. Last year these we so hard to find and when we did see them they were asking $1000. Maybe the downturn in the economy brought the prices down.
Good luck!
